Jeanne-Marie Lanvin founded her own fashion house. She trained as a dressmaker and milliner early in life while living in Paris. She started designing clothing when she became a mother. She created clothing for her daughter, and this apparel quickly caught on with people in the area. She passed away in 1946, but her legacy lives on in the brand’s apparel and fragrances.
